Decadent Chocolate Avocado Mousse

This divine recipe is a wonderful, high fiber, health boosting, vegan substitute for the times when all you want is ice cream.

Yield:  2 pints


  • 4 large very ripe avocados, pitted and removed from skins

  • 1 ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 scant cup Grade A maple syrup

  • 1 Tbs vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp sea salt

  • ½ tsp ground cardamom

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon


  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor. 

  2. Mix on low, scraping down the sides periodically, until well combined.


For some crunch enjoy with a topping of toasted coconut flakes or chopped roasted pistachios.
